Mexico City
Mexico City is hot, hot, hot. Arrrriiiibbbbaaa and all that!
Mexico City

With colonial charm, boho architecture and an array of small shops selling hand-made gifts, head to Condesa straight from the airport for a peaceful introduction to this beautiful city. Or roam along the altogether more bustling Paseo de la Reforma where the Angel of Independence towers above the contemporary city skyline. Here you’ll find an abundance of terrific restaurants and cafes selling everything from tortillas to sushi!

No city trip would be complete without retail therapy and a manicure (eh lads?). In the heart of Polanco you’ll find the boutiques of Gucci and Armani sitting amicably next to walk-in spas: at least LOOK like you can afford Gucci, even if it is just for your unappreciative passengers!
Well worth the short walk is Chapultepec Park, a hidden oasis of galleries, sculpture, lakes and even a zoo. Grab some street food and picnic in the park whilst watching the world go by. Open Tuesday to Sunday and free to GalleyFM subscribers (and everyone else, admittedly).

No overnight in Mexico would be complete with out a foray into tequilaville and the Zona Rosa is the party animal’s prime hunting ground in Mexico City. Black Out is a club in the dark with a colourful array of regional tequilas from sour to creamy and two dance floors of electric pop and trance. Club Reforma also has some themed nights worth checking out, so knock back a tequila derecha or two whilst giving it large. Oh, and why did the Mexican push his wife off a cliff? Tequila (you can have that one if you want).
