London
Southbank/ Bankside: a cheap, stylish, fun day out
London

Hiya,

This may all be obvious to people who live in or visit London regularly, but for anyone who doesn't, it can be a quite an expensive day out if you go to all the touristy bits. If you want cheap, stylish and to see some really good bits of London I reccomend this:

Walk along the Southbank. Get a takeaway coffee, watch the seagulls, rollerskaters, families, celebrities, whole world having a stroll and watching the world go by. Stop at Tate Modern (obvious but a great visit, fun, Ok with kids, many parts of it free especially if the slides are still there. Bit of a queue, but amazing!). Then you could wander over the brigde and have a look inside St Pauls. When feeling hungry, go to Leon Bankside, brilliant restaurant (there are several in London) that serves cheap, nutricious, brilliant food to eat in or take away). The address of this restaurant is 7 Canvey Street, SE1 or go to http://www.leonrestaurants.co.uk/ they have other restaurants around London, well worth a visit if you're in the vicinity and won't break the bank.

Hope this is helpful for anyone planning a visit to the big smoke soon x
